Corfu is a small town of 30 000 inhabitants, very lively all year round. The city received the Venetian imprint, with small alleys full of charm, lots of taverns, restaurants, cafes and small shops of every kind. The inhabitants are called ‘Corfiots’ and love to meet each other on the streets, have a chat, sip an ouzo with 'pikilia' (plate with nibbles), read their paper and take time to enjoy life. There prevails a very mediterranean atmosphere with a friendly, gentle and absolutely non violent attitude. The island has several museums, palaces and fortresses which are worth visiting. Surrounded by magnificent views, soft landscapes of cypresses and olive trees, away from tourism, this place is gifted with a unique atmosphere which continues to feed our imagination and creativity.
